
In Brief:
Students create the five notes using a simple sequence: adding one Blue Jello puzzle piece to a note makes the next one. The five rests are also learned. Real rhythm cards and the rainbow xylophone give visual, kinesthetic and aural understanding.
Objectives:
Develop skills to master the names, shapes, sequence and relative length of whole, half, quarter, eighth and sixteenth notes and the same five rests
Prerequisite Concepts:
Concepts learned in the blue jello cards set 1 (side 1)
Ability to distinguish between the various shapes of the notes and rests
