Scoring

When all the cards are gone from the center pile, it’s time to reveal the cards. Turn over the two cards directly opposite each other. Each player scores their own card. Move to the next card in the row, and score it before turning over the next one. As each card is revealed, place magic notes are placed on it.

This way of scoring is important. If students simply turn over their cards to see who has the five smallest cards, it creates a more competitive mood to the end of the game. Scoring with magic notes slows the finish and focuses attention on the values of the notes and rests.
