Five Hiding – Notes and Rests

On Each Turn, the Player:

• Chooses the top card from either the center pile or the discard pile. 
• Discards it if it is a quarter value or larger. 
• Keeps the card if it is less than a quarter value.
• Exchanges it with one of the cards at either end of the row.
• Must make an exchange. The player may not compare cards and keep the small value card. This makes this game fun and full of surprises and suspense.
• May discard the card in her hand or continue one switching cards along her row. Once she holds a card she doesn't want, she discards it.
