Scoring

Students win the magic notes for each triad they guessed AND any triads they identified correctly. The score using this example is 6:  2 correct guessing and 4 correct listening. The guessing is for fun and the listening is important.

Why all this effort with cards, magic notes and scoring?

It’s a fun game and they have the chance to hear the same intervals twice. If you merely play triads and students identify them, it’s a test and we all prefer games.
