Take four magic notes (two blue and two red) to the piano to help you remember the order of the triads you play. Play (or sing) four triads (two major and two minor) using the same two roots for each pair.
For example: C – E – G, C – Eb – G, E – G# B, E – G – B. Play each triad melodically (one note at a time) then harmonically (all notes at the same time). You can use only ascending or descending triads or a pair of both.
As you play the triads, students will put one magic note under their row of do re mi cards to identify the triad.
