Using the real rhythm cards can be very beneficial for students who may still be unsure of the sequence of notes and rests.
Children are used to being constantly tested. Instead, use guide cards and real rhythm cards as tools so they can figure out the values of notes and rests. Awareness of your approval and willingness to meet them at their stage of learning is encouraging.
