Blue Jello Space

  • Choose a few blue jello cards set 1 that the student has learned
  • Student closes their eyes and draws one card. Together, say the rhythm together using hand signs

 

 

Tempo Space (Yellow)

  • Student draws a tempo card. You help the student learn how to pronounce it. Together, walk or run around the gameboard in the tempo

 

 

Dictation Space (Purple)

  • You sing a 3–5-note stepwise pattern. Sing it together several times. Use a staff slate and magic notes to write out the pattern
  • Sing the pattern, pointing to the magic notes

 

 

Play Space (Children with Instruments)

  • Student takes a turn performing

 

 

Bass Clef or Treble Clef Corner

  • Student selects 3 cards from the appropriate pile and identifies the notes as lines or spaces (with assistance as needed)

 

Sharp Corner

  • Student selects three cards from the music symbol cards pile and identifies the cards (with assistance as needed)

 

 

Answer Top Cards Corner

  • Student selects the top card from each of the four center piles and identifies them (with assistance as needed)
