Maiko studied singing at the Osaka College of Music. She also has junior high school and kindergarten teacher licenses. Maiko has worked at the Music Kindergarten of the Osaka College of Music, and she currently teaches piano and Music Mind Games at her home in Osaka.

Maiko enjoys knitting and sewing. When her sons were young, she made denim jackets and hats. Maiko is also learning how to bake bread and cakes.
