Scrabble – Do Re Mi with Singing

In Brief:

One by one do re mi cards are laid out in seconds in intersecting columns and rows like a scrabble game. This game can be played with or without singing

Objectives:

This game can be played silently, as shown in the videos with children. Better yet, it can be played as shown in the video below, with students slowly adding cards and SINGING "do re mi" ON PITCH

Prerequisite Concepts:

Unit 1 dictation and sight-singing games and a good working ability with solfege

Teacher's Role:

You demonstrate how to play this game using hand motions but without talking. Then observe students playing and silently assist with accuracy
