In Brief:
Without taking turns, students turn over cards from a center stack and place identical cards in piles
Objectives:
Develop the ability to recognize subtle differences in note and rest shapes
Prerequisite Concepts:
Young children: The ability to sort matching note and rest shapes (RM-1: Is it a Match?)
Older children: Good first game for students older than preschool
Teacher's Role:
You can play along whenever it's helpful to set an example, but usually older students are able to play together on their own
Repetitions:
Fun to repeat in later lessons as a quick review
